{"sentiment":1.5,"text":"This hotel is in THE perfect location. It's within walking distance to many sites and just a tram ride away from everything else. The staff in this hotel is exceptional...very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the beautiful rooftop terrace with views of the Marmara Sea. Breakfast here was a very nice way to start each day. The only complaint I have is that the room we got was very small. I'm sure there are some better rooms in the hotel, but our bathroom door couldn't even open completely because it would hit the toilet."} {"sentiment":2.5,"text":"Our group stayed at the Inn for 4 nights and saw the show. The Inn was clean, the staff most cooperative and the continental breakfast was very good. We loved the show , the gift shops and the entire atmosphere. I would highly recommend the Inn and would definitely stay there again."} {"sentiment":0.5,"text":"We stayed for two nights over Labor Day weekend. Our reservation was for a room with a king size bed. What we got was a room with two full size beds. This was really not an ideal situation for my 6'5\" husband. When we called the front desk we were told it was our mistake (funny how she knew I had made that mistake without knowing our names or room number...wonder how she was able to look up that information). The company seems pretty determined to make this seem as though it was my mistake but the confirmation email I have clearly shows otherwise. The room was fairly clean but I could have done without hairs on the blow dryer when we got there. There was also some sort of red blood-like stain above the mirror in the bathroom. I'm not too fond of other people's bodily fluids. The staff (other than the less than helpful front desk gal) were very friendly. We loved Carolyn in the lounge!"} {"sentiment":1.5,"text":"Good Choice in New York. Room was in good repair. My room didn't have an HDTV. Expensive."} {"sentiment":0.5,"text":"clean room, clean sheet , fair price, but has no minibar, no coffeemaker, however the hotel environment it's bit depressing, decoration very old with giant scary clowns, reminded a scary movie of the 70s, despite having good price, I wont come back , very bad atmosphere. If you look a fair price with good room, If you will be drunk and don't care about the atmosphere, it will be okay, Otherwise, look for another hotel."} {"sentiment":1.5,"text":"The hotel was easy to find and at check in we were welcomed and given some local information and a handy map. Rooms had everything we needed and were clean and cosy. The only negative was that they got too warm at times. Bathrooms were also clean and well equipped with shower gel and a hairdryer. We only tried food from the bar menu (paninis, toasties, wraps) which was lovely - I'm sure the restaurant food would be even better. There are also vending machines in the hotel and a Spar less than 2 mins away. Location was great, and we would definitely stay at this hotel again."} {"sentiment":1.5,"text":"It's a shame that this Hampton is stuck where it is, sandwiched between the Travelers inn and the Phoenix West Inn, in an area where I do not suggest walking alone at night. Yes it is convenient, right off I-10 at 51st., in an area known as Phoenix West. This several block area is dominated by trucker traffic due to the large facility very near for fueling, etc. 18-wheelers are everywhere; not just for diesel fuel, but there are plenty of warehouses nearby as well. However, the only truck noise I heard was in the morning when the overnight truckers started up in the morning at the Phoenix West Inn. I don't know how long ago the hotel was remodeled, but it must have been very recent., inside and out. The grounds are well maintained, but step off their property onto Lasham St. and it looks like a junkyard. Local [walkable] dining is equally dismal, with a few fast food places, and an IHOP. If you want 'real' food, plan on driving a few miles to 75th. Ave. The only full service hotel in the area is the Holiday Inn across I-10. I went there for a few minutes, but it is located in a similar scary area. The large, spotless room itself was great! When I booked it online I had my choice of an easy chair [see photo] or a sleeper sofa. WiFi was fast and easy to connect. The desk area had plenty of available AC sockets. In fact, there was a socket IN the base of the desk lamp. Nice touch! Embarassing selection of TV channels, as in not many. The pool area looked inviting, but it was unlit and the water was too warm to be refreshing after a warm day. Breakfast was a definite highlite, with an excellent fresh selection of everything you would expect from a Hampton lately. It seemed that there was always somebody there checking food supply and refilling if needed. The eating area was large with many tables, and plenty of room. The hotel seems very security consious. The only way to enter the hotel without a room key is through the lobby. At the other entrances, a room key IS required, and this is 24-hours a day. If you need a place to stay in this area, the Hampton does the job nicely, IF you have a car. Now that I think about it though, I cant imagine how you would get there anyway, without transportation. Stay there, but don't venture into the night. What a shame..."} {"sentiment":-0.5,"text":"Schmutzig und laut, wobei man... showReview(17602182, 'full');"} {"sentiment":-0.5,"text":"I stayed at the Excalibur for 6 days 5 nights and booked this hotel through a US Airways package and I got a great deal. I got the Widescreen Room as they called it since it has a 42\" plasma in the room. As far the hotel the Excalibur is a pretty old hotel; almost 20 years old. Check in was ok, I was able to do an early go at my room with no problems. The staff was nice and courteous; no issues there. The room itself was nothing to write about as it is just a bid better than the standard room. My advice to you is not to upgrade if the price is more than $50 bucks. The bathroom was dirty and moldy with handles falling or broken on the shower screen door. The linens were dirty and ripped. I was told by a supervisor that this is an outgoing problem they had. According to her they were aware of the issue and they were working on getting more durable linens in the future. As far as having a HDTV plasma in the room with only 2 HD channels is ridiculous. Again, not worth the price they charge. The Excalibur is old stingy cigarette smelling hotel for families and middle to senior folks. It offers more affordable prices south of the strip. MGM runs this hotel as well as it sister's hotels (Mandalay & Luxor). Compared to the Mandalay which I have stayed in; the Excalibur is a dump. If money is tight but you also want a little more quality then stay in the middle (Luxor). The buffet here is probably one of the cheapest in the strip since they have a special for $25, were you can eat all day. This is probably more suitable for a family rather than a couple since you would have to make the trip back to the hotel if you want to get your money's worth. One thing though, the cigarette smell is horrible at their buffet. If you're ok with that then I guess this is for you then. Overall I would recommend this hotel if you can get a great deal and you don't want to stay in Circus Circus, the Fitzgerald, Four Queens or Bills."} {"sentiment":-0.5,"text":"4 star modern hotel for euro 65 per night off the Internet, but.... Euro 21 for breakfast, euro 15 to borrow power adapters, more euro for Internet outside of 30 minutes in the lobby. Service generally cold, except the guy at the information counter. No clocks in the room. Watching the near empty breakfast room as we left the hotel for a bakery breakfast, I wondered whether their business model is flawed."} {"sentiment":-0.5,"text":"Great small apartment hotel in best possible location BUT with serious booking/management problems! Our second stay in 15 mos (minor snafu with first visit - we thought it was an anomaly). This time, despite numbered, written, confirmed reservation, staff failed to honor booking, tried, without comment, to place in vastly inferior room, then stonewalled, then tried to overcharge. ONLY due to our insistence and persistence did we reach an adequate compromise (with a bottle of wine) - still left with lack of confidence in competence and/or credibility! IF you can secure penthouse units (2 rooms/huge balconies/Harbor views @ $450 NZ) OR 4-5 floor studios WITH balcony/views ($286 NZ) it's worth it - this is one of the best in the area - a couple of blocks from the pricey Hyatt. Not sure though that we'd risk it or our vacation again."} {"sentiment":2.5,"text":"I had a fantastic 3 day stay here in June. My reservation was made online through hotels.com 2 days before my arrival and I got an excellent rate (around $200 CAD per night). Check in was a breeze and was upgraded to a room with a King bed. The room were huge by NYC standards. Every single room is newly remodeled (renovations are completely finished). Flat screen TVs, great bathrooms and clean, modern decor. Didn't order any room service, so cannot comment on that. All in all a great stay, and will definitely be staying here again next time in NYC."} {"sentiment":2.5,"text":"Stayed here for just the one night and, to be very honest,we did not spend that much time in the hotel but whilst there the hotel staff were very polite and professional. We booked a \"Twin Room\",but we were given a \"Double\".Not a problem as it was changed immediately. The room was spacious and very clean. If you wuold like a quiet room,we would suggest you ask for a room at the rear of the hotel.(Didn't bother us,we could sleep on a runway) Great location.Five minutes to Gunnesbury station and a10 minute walk into Chiswick high street. NB.Got this hotel off \"Top Secret Hotels\"...70 Room only..BARGAIN!!!!!"} {"sentiment":2.5,"text":"Just back from spending a brilliant 5 days in Rome and I've got to say the hotel villa duse played a big part. Everything about the hotel was excellent but a special mention must be paid to the staff. I've never met as friendly and helpful a team as this. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they were always on hand with advice. The tower lodge was a beautiful room and the balcony was perfect to relax in the sun or for a quiet romantic dinner in. The meal we got was also excellent, beautifully presented and great value vs what we recieved in town. It is a bit outside the centre but that just means you get peace and quiet in a very safe neighbourhood. The walk to town wasn't bad as the villa borghese is a beautiful park to walk through and its really easy to find. I really would recommend this hotel as my fiancee and I thought it was perfect and again I can't speak highly enough of the fantastic people who work hard to make it so. Thanks for a helping make it a wonderful experience for us both."} {"sentiment":-0.5,"text":"The rooms are very nice, we had a V suite with a nice strip view. We didn't ask for anything while we were there besides complaining to a manager about our mix experience which was flat out awful, and the girl at the front desk had us sit for 25 min in the lobby waiting for one. When no one came, and I told her we were gonna be on our way, there was no offer of \"we will call your room, or come back at a certain time.\" I guess they assumed everything was ok. Here is my review/experience of mix and see if you think its ok.....(its a tad long, but entertaining I promise): So you know where I stand, I have taken 5 trips to vegas and and have never ever spent less than $1000 in one night between dinner and clubs, I go to have fun. I visited mix in the afternoon on my last trip to vegas in august of 2010 and thought the view was incredible. I was on that trip with some buddies and decided it would be a great place to take my girlfriend back to. I read the reviews and looked at the menu on the web, which looked a little dismal to begin with, but with her I was more concerned about the experience. Let me say I am not a picky person, and am very easy to please, in fact I have never even written a review before on tripadvisor...but it was a must after this debacle. I requested a table with a view 2 weeks in advance. Not to be picky but if your going to eat at the top of a hotel, this is kind of a no brainer. The 1st table they seated us was behind a pole with both seats facing the interior, I could see right there I was dealing with some real geniuses here. We got moved to one with a slight view when we stood up, but sadly most of the tables by the windows have you on top of another couple where you pretty much have to wait until they are done talking to speak, otherwise you would interrupt each other. The bus boy then poured our water only half way up in each glass...and I wondered why when he had a full pitcher. We found out after he left the table....he farted. The couple next to us smelled it too..disgusting. We got over this and just decided to make the best of it. The food: Terrible and overpriced. They obviously do a lot of cooking in the microwave. We had a couple apps which probably only made us even more hungry, and were so small I think they actually had a negative caloric value if that's possible. I live on Hilton Head Island which has excellent seafood restaurants and I don't think one of them charges $39 for a piece of fish. Someone needs to contact Vandekamps and let them know this place has stolen their frozen fish stick recipe and disguised it as chilean sea bass. It was not the price, I promise. It was the value, and satisfaction. I had one of the best meals of my life at Prime in the Bellagio the next night and paid $450 for 2, and would have paid double it was so good. I told them they can have the fish back and didn't even ask to replace it. The only thing even done after that was a man(if you can call him that) came over and in one long-winded, run-on sentence all in broken English said \"I will take the fish off of your bill we will bring you something on the house for dessert.\" He walked off immediately, maybe even as he was mumbling. No pauses, no sorry bout the fish, not even a anything we can do? By his mannerisms he was clearly afraid to confront what was wrong and if I might have had some resolution. It was hard to watch them bring me the bill for $145 as my hunger pains were pounding inside me. $145 and they even took off one of the entrees. I was hoping my girlfriend had crackers in her purse but was not that lucky. I will never set foot in this place again knowing our cat eats consistently better than the patrons of this dump. It's funny the thing right below the review asks if I would recommend this place to a friend, you have to really not like someone to recommend this place. Go to prime/or del friscos, best in vegas. I informed the girl at the front desk that I had never written a review on here before
